Success Stories

Charlotte Sasse (right), who plays viola and violin with the Solihull Symphony Orchestra and performed in the 2015 Rising Stars Concert earlier this has been selected to join the prestigous National Youth Orchestra. She joins cellist Dominic Martens (left), who was one of our 2014 Rising Stars. Both are also members of the CBSO Youth Orchestra, together with bass player Ben Lyons (centre).

Entry to the NYO involves a challenging audition process, but successful candidates get the opportunity to perform in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Manchester's Bridgwater Hall and Symphony Hall in Birmingham.

Congratulations are also due this week to two of our other young musicians with the Solihull Symphony Orchestra. Second Violin leader Ben Owen has passed his Grade VIII exam with Distinction, while fellow violinist Lukas Evans has passed Grade VII, also with Distinction.
